Frequently Asked Questions
Any retaining wall with a surcharge would be best designed by an engineer as the load rating etc. depends as much on the soil types and other factors as well as the post strength. The SureWall Design & Strength Document which you can download from this website will assist your engineer to design the wall.
SureWall posts are made from galvanised steel that is 3mm thick and should last at least 20 years depending on your location. Expect it to last longer inland rather than coastal, as saltwater tends to erode steel faster.
You can create perfect 90° corners. SureWall is designed with a 15° tolerance, so you can create ‘curved’ walls at special angles.
It is no problem at all to have a stepped wall. To achieve this, different height SureWall posts can be used remembering that half the length of the post needs to be underground.
