GroWorm is the easy-to-use, fun-to-install alternative to raised gardens. Create green borders, flower beds or herb gardens to fit any shape or curve. Simply tie one end, fill with topsoil by using the cardboard applicator supplied, tie the other end, then cut holes where you want to place your plants. GroWorm is available in a 5m length but can be cut to any length.
GroWorm is a fun way to hide unsightly concrete haunching, line the bottom of fences or even to use as garden edging between your mulch, bark and grass. It’s a great way to spend time with the kids, giving them individual vegetable or herb gardens to learn how things grow. What length does GroWorm come in?
GroWorm comes in a 5m length of black, knitted fabric. You can use it to create one long garden sock, but you can also easily cut it to create two or more smaller gardens to suit your needs. Just remember to allow extra length when tying up each end. If you cut it in half, for example, you’ll end up with two, 2m GroWorm gardens.
If I cut the GroWorm, will it fray?
No. The woven fabric is tear resistant, so the holes you cut for your plants won’t tear or stretch. Just try not to over fill GroWorm so you don’t add any unwanted pressure on the material. This means the plants and roots will easily slip inside as well.
What keeps the soil from washing out?
The knitted fabric traps soil particles inside, preventing the soil from washing out. This makes it ideal for placing on decking, concrete or any non-soil areas. Because it retains moisture, it will stay moist for longer, requiring less watering, which is great news for your plants.
What can I plant in GroWorm?
GroWorm is ideal for a multitude of herbs and plants. Grow easy-to-access individual rows of salads or herbs. Small flowers work well to add colour to the edge of houses or pathways, or even flat-lying creepers that will cover GroWorm entirely.
